Leaving the door open will lower the mood of your animals if it s raining or in winter. Some animals expecially goats don t like the door to be open at night 7 showing 1 7 of 7 comments. When the animals are in their barns it s a lot easier to keep track of them for petting milking shearing. So if the forcast for the next day says rain wait until the animals are all inside and close the door the night prior before going to bed.

They won t go outside during the winter even if it s not snowing so unless you want to chance them getting eaten by wolves i d say keep the doors closed. Leaving it closed while an animal is outside can cause wolves to attack them on any farm type. Never said that quality affected the artisan good. Leaving the doors open only reduces the animal s happiness.
